{"id":5092,"date":"2022-11-23T12:07:14","date_gmt":"2022-11-23T17:07:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/permafrostnet.ca\/?p=5092"},"modified":"2026-10-01T07:39:28","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T12:39:28","slug":"nserc-permafrostnet-and-arcticnet-sign-mou","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/permafrostnet.ca\/fr\/news\/nserc-permafrostnet-and-arcticnet-sign-mou\/","title":{"rendered":"NSERC PermafrostNet and ArcticNet sign MoU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NSERC PermafrostNet is pleased to announce this partnership to further Arctic science: We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ArcticNet.&nbsp;This MoU between ArcticNet and NSERC PermafrostNet will promote northern research and culture while supporting the exchange of knowledge and fostering the creation of synergies in Arctic research between researchers, institutions, communities, governments, and the private sector.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MoU was signed on September 16th, 2022.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-columns has-2-columns has-desktop-twoOne-layout has-tablet-equal-layout has-mobile-collapsedRows-layout has-narrow-gap has-vertical-unset\" id=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-columns-62eb7ebf\"><div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-columns-overlay\"><\/div><div class=\"innerblocks-wrap\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-column\" id=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-column-571a8c70\">\n<p>\u201cNSERC PermafrostNet connects academics and partners for boosting Canada\u2019s ability to adapt to permafrost thaw. As a strategic partnership network, we also work toward better connecting differing perspectives and organizations in the long term. Partnering with ArcticNet helps build on existing strengths and better contribute to an inclusive Arctic research ecosystem.\u201d \u2013 Stephan Gruber, NSERC PermafrostNet Scientific Director&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPermafrost research has always been a core research topic for ArcticNet. We are keen to continue working closely with PermafrostNet to advance knowledge on permafrost dynamics on natural and built systems across the North.
