{"id":7527,"date":"2024-09-09T11:02:26","date_gmt":"2024-09-09T16:02:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/permafrostnet.ca\/?page_id=7527"},"modified":"2026-06-15T15:14:34","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T20:14:34","slug":"nserc-permafrostnet-agm-2024","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/permafrostnet.ca\/fr\/resources\/events\/nserc-permafrostnet-agm-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"NSERC PermafrostNet AGM 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 id=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading-05e1468d\" class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading-05e1468d\">The NSERC PermafrostNet Annual General Meeting 2024<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NSERC PermafrostNet is pleased to invite the permafrost community to our sixth network Annual General Meeting (AGM) (<a href=\"https:\/\/permafrostnet.ca\/fr\/resources\/events\/\">previous AGM details available here<\/a>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2024 NSERC PermafrostNet AGM was held on\u00a0<strong>Monday 9th of December<\/strong>, at the Rogers Centre Ottawa, in conjunction with the <a href=\"https:\/\/event.fourwaves.com\/ac2024\/pages\">Arctic Change conference<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting focused on the synthesis of the research findings the network has made over the last 5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Arctic Change 2024<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ArcticNet&#8217;s 5th International Arctic Change Conference (AC2024) is a special 20th edition of the Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM). The conference is a hub for Arctic and northern research in Canada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference took place from December 9 to 12, 2024. AC2024 brings together researchers from the natural, health, and social sciences to meet the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing Arctic region. This conference will push the boundaries of our collective understanding of the Arctic and strengthen our ability to address the issues of today and tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interdisciplinary cooperation and knowledge sharing across the Arctic and the North, as well as innovative and evidence-based research, are key in achieving climate change adaptation and proposing sound mitigation strategies. As a hub for Arctic research in Canada, the AC brings together a broad range of research in and about the Arctic and northern regions of Canada and the world.
